An Architect's vision

Oracle RAC & Automatic Workload Management can be built on Oracle Standard Edition (SE). This is not possible on SE1. Oracle SE can be deployed on the top of 4 Sockets where as Oracle SE1 can be deployed on the top of 2 Sockets only. Note : Oracle RAC is not included in the Standard Edition of releases prior to Oracle Database 10g, nor is it an available option with those earlier releases.
